ITS DONE! WOOT!

So for about the last 7 days, ive been doing nothing but my research report for Psychological Research Methodology I. From the moment i woke up/got home from uni till like 1-2am i was doing nothing but this report, slowly trudging through the unfamiliar and confusing waters (sounds alot like my first relationship lol) of statistical analysis. You cannot imagine the sense of achievement once i finally got my point-biserieal correlational coefficient result however (Which was 0.014, which if you’re interested meant that only 1.4% of the difference between the two levels of the independent variable in the experiment i did was actually related to my hypothesis >.> But that still meant the hypothesis was true to that tiny extent which was enough, and the null hypothesis wasn’t statistically viable because my P-value was 0.003 which means id only expect to see a difference 3 times out of every 1000 times the trial was repeated and i saw a difference 100% of the time in 164 trials). Anyway, if you understood any of that statistical jargon and haven’t done a statistics course before, im horrified because that means you must do statistics for fun.

I really love completing assignments and writing down my findings and stuff because it shows how much im actually learning from my university study, which isn’t easy to see everyday (having no uni friends or friends doing psychology/speech path means i never get to talk about psychology or speech pathology or anything that i devote most of my time to >.<).

Anyway its almost 2am so i should go to bed seeing as i have to be awake at 6:30am. Today i have my last Intro to Physiological and Cognitive psyc tute and lecture ever =O Next semester im doing Intro to Developmental and Clinical Psychology i think which will be quite different. I also have to hand this report in and pick up the details for my last research participation i have to do for credit for Psyc1020. So glad that research report is done. Next goal: Do well on finals which my first one is on the 13th of June, then the 19th and 20th and 25th. Im happy with how they spaced out, except for psyc1040 and psyc1020 being on consecutive days =S Oh well ill have to deal. They put an exam on the 13th as well as i said, which is Pride day in Brisbane, how rude of them to put an exam on pride day, so i won’t be able to go to that, maybe next year i can go with my future boyfriend (im hopeful, 12 months is hopefully long enough to suceed in that endeavour.) Its ok though because now im going to lunch with Paige at some nice restaurant for her birthday after my exam ^_^

I shall leave you with a cool video i found of Tarja doing what id describe as an almost jazz version of I walk Alone and The Reign on piano by herself. (Warning: Its pretty cool.)

And also this illustrative photo of what i was like when i finished my research report (Haha, i really do have a Tarja photo for every occasion):
